FOB Factory 'F147 G3' 14oz. Unsanforized Japanese Selvedge Jeans (Slim Cut)

Based in Kurashaki, the southern part of Okayama Perfecture in Japan, FOB Factory has been making denim and workwear of the highest standards for over two decades. These G3 unsanforized selvedge denim jeans are no exception.

Cut in a modern slim silhouette; mid-high waist, fitting at the seat and hips, drape close to the thighs with a very slight taper towards the leg opening. 

Made using an unsanforized 14oz. fabric woven on a restored vintage Toyoda G3 shuttle loom, Japan’s first shuttle loom invented in 1924 by Sakichi Toyoda, the founder of Toyota, before they started making cars. 

One washed, these are very slubby, irregular, and somewhat bumpy and rough on the hand as the warp yarn is woven with very low tension. This same warp yarn is also dyed a very deep indigo that almost seems black at certain angles and will turn to a bluer hue and show excellent fades with washing. 

Exposed copper rivets, steel buttons, a zip fly, and 100% cotton threads provide both authenticity and durability. Little details such as the pink line selvedge ID and a beautifully tanned leather patch prove that these jeans are anything but short of character.
