The Ivy Tapered from Big John, an easy to wear daily jean that is tailored enough for the dressier times.
Made from a 14oz. Original Big John unsanforized Japanese selvedge denim with a red selvedge ID. Made with a slightly lose weave, it is slubby as much as it is full of hairy nep. Dyed in pure indigo and washed once, it is relatively light and soft for a 14oz denim and comfortable right off the bat but still dark as if it were raw.
Cut in a regular tapered fit. With a medium-high rise, it sits right above the waist with a rounded top block that is roomy and comfortable. Slightly loose on the upper thighs but tapers throughout the leg into a relatively small leg opening.
Standard details include hidden back pocket rivets, half-lined back pockets, selvedge coin pocket, 4-button fly, and two-tone threads. These go perfect with sneakers for a very casual, daily look or with leather loafers or oxfords for a slightly more dressed up approach.
